On March 2, 2015 Chad was wheeled away for surgery in Baltimore, Maryland. We fought battles upon battles to make sure he had one of the leading appendix cancer specialist in the country to perform his surgery. At this point, we had no idea what the surgeon would find when he opened him up and all we could do is pray.
Our prayers were answered and Chad left the surgery cancer free and remains cancer free to this day 🧡 The blessings that were bestowed upon us that day were remarkable. Chad had the most aggressive form of appendix cancer and to be fortunate enough to have caught it early without recurrence is just amazing *knock on wood*.
I won't pretend he hasn't had his challenges since as a result of everything his body went through, but he is alive and well - and continues to fight every day for strength and good health to keep thriving and surviving.
